The Barnevelder is a handsome Dutch breed with double-laced mahogany feathering and a reputation for laying rich dark brown eggs well into winter. Calm and easy to handle, they adapt well to both confinement and free range. A great dual-purpose heritage breed for serious backyard keepers.
