The Cubalaya is Cuba's national breed, developed from Asian game stock crossed with European breeds to create a distinctive lobster-tail plumage and upright carriage. One of the few breeds developed in the Western Hemisphere with Asian game heritage, they are active, alert, and thrive in tropical heat. A rare and beautiful breed with genuine national significance.
