The Catalana is a dual-purpose Spanish breed developed in Catalonia, known for its warm buff plumage and exceptional heat tolerance. A productive layer of white eggs, it also provides a decent table carcass. Rare outside of Spain, it is well-suited to hot Mediterranean climates where most northern breeds struggle.
